1. सऊदी अरब ने महिलाओं को पहली बार स्टेडियम में अनुमति दी

सऊदी अरब ने 87वें राष्ट्रीय दिवस समारोह में शामिल होने के लिए पहली बार एक स्टेडियम में महिलाओं को अपने परिवारों के साथ आमंत्रित किया है।

• यह राज्य में पिछले समारोहों से एक बदलाव का प्रतीक है जहां महिलाओं को खेल के मैदानों से प्रभावी ढंग से रोक दिया गया है।
• सऊदी अरब में महिलाओं के लिए सख्त प्रतिबंध हैं, जिनमें उन्हें ड्राइविंग ना करने देना भी शामिल है।

2. 7वीं एएसईएम आर्थिक मंत्रियों की बैठक

7वीं एएसईएम आर्थिक मंत्रियों की बैठक (एएसईएम ईएमएम 7) सिओल, कोरिया गणराज्य में 21-22 सितंबर 2017 को आयोजित की गई।

• एएसईएम की स्थापना 1996 में एशिया और यूरोप के 53 देशों की आर्थिक सहयोग परिषद के रूप में की गई थी।
• संगठन का एक महत्वपूर्ण क्षेत्रीय सहयोग निकाय के रूप में मूल्यांकन किया जाता है जो 2015 के 60% से अधिक वैश्विक व्यापार के लिए जिम्मेदार है।

3. परमाणु ऊर्जा इंस्टालमेंट में भारत तीसरे स्थान पर  

विश्व परमाणु उद्योग स्थिति रिपोर्ट 2017 के अनुसार भारत इस साल  इंस्टाल किए गए 6 परमाणु रिएक्टरों के साथ दुनिया में तीसरे स्थान पर है, जबकि चीन 20 रिएक्टरों के साथ में अग्रणी है।

• हालांकि निर्माणाधीन परमाणु रिएक्टर इकाइयों की संख्या में लगातार चौथे वर्ष विश्व स्तर पर गिरावट आई है।

4. विश्व पर्यटन दिवस: 27 सितंबर

1980 से, संयुक्त राष्ट्र विश्व पर्यटन संगठन 27 सितंबर को विश्व पर्यटन दिवस मनाता आ रहा है।

• इस तारीख को 1 9 70 में चुना गया था, जब यूएनडब्लूटीओ की संहिताओं को अपनाया गया था। इन संहिताओं को अपनाने को वैश्विक पर्यटन में एक मील का पत्थर माना जाता है।
• विश्व पर्यटन दिवस 2017 को 'सतत पर्यटन - विकास के लिए एक उपकरण' विषय के साथ मनाया जा रहा है।

5. संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा का 72वां सत्र

संयुक्त राष्ट्र मुख्यालय में न्यूयॉर्क में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा (यूएनजीए 72) का 72 वां नियमित सत्र आयोजित किया गया।

• मिरोस्लाव लैजक ने यूएनजीए के 72वें सत्र की अध्यक्षता की।
• भारत की विदेश मंत्री सुश्री स्वराज ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा के 72 वें सत्र को संबोधित किया।
• इस सत्र के दौरान, 50 देशों ने परमाणु हथियारों पर प्रतिबंध लगाने के लिए एक संधि पर हस्ताक्षर किए, जिस पर सबसे पहले ब्राजील द्वारा हस्ताक्षर किये गये थे।
• जिन देशों ने संधि पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं वे किसी भी परिस्थिति में परमाणु हथियारों का विकास, परीक्षण, उत्पादन, निर्माण, अधिग्रहण या स्टॉक नहीं करेंगे।

6. वैश्विक प्रतिस्पर्धात्मकता सूचकांक में भारत 40 वें स्थान पर

विश्व आर्थिक मंच की वैश्विक प्रतिस्पर्धात्मकता सूचकांक (जीसीआई) 2017-18 में भारत 137 देशों में 40वें स्थान पर है, हालांकि यह पिछले वर्ष की तुलना में एक स्थान नीचे है।

• स्विटजरलैंड विश्व की शीर्ष प्रतिस्पर्धात्मक अर्थव्यवस्था बना हुआ है, जबकि चीन (27वें) और रूस (38 वां) ने ब्रिक्स ग्रुप में भारत को पीछे छोडा है।

7. विश्व समुद्री दिवस: 28 सितंबर

विश्व समुद्री दिवस 28 सितंबर को दुनिया भर में मनाया जाता है।

• 2017 वर्ल्ड मैरीटाइम डे के लिए थीम 'कनेक्टिंग शिप्स, पोर्ट्स एंड पीपुल' हैं।
• विश्व समुद्री दिवस शिपिंग सुरक्षा, समुद्री सुरक्षा, पर्यावरण और आईएमओ के काम के पहलुओं पर जोर देने के महत्व पर केंद्रित है।

8. भारत प्रवासियों के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ देशों में 14वें स्थान पर: एचएसबीसी

एचएसबीसी के सर्वेक्षण में कहा गया है कि भारत ने प्रवासियों के लिए सर्वश्रेष्ठ देशों की वैश्विक रैंकिंग में 12 स्थान ऊपर बढकर 14 वां स्थान हासिल किया है।

• सूची, जिसमें सिंगापुर द्वारा सबसे ऊपर है, एचएसबीसी के नवीनतम 'एक्सपैट एक्सप्लोरर सर्विसेज' का हिस्सा है, जिसने इस साल मार्च और अप्रैल में 159 देशों और क्षेत्रों से 27,587 लोगों पर सर्वेक्षण किया।
• सर्वेक्षण के मुताबिक, भारत में लगभग 71 प्रतिशत आबादी स्थानीय अर्थव्यवस्था में विश्वास करती है, जबकि 58 प्रतिशत ने राजनीतिक स्थिरता पर आशावाद का हवाला दिया।

9. फिलिस्तीन इंटरपोल का पूर्णकालिक सदस्य बना

इंटरपोल, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय पुलिस संगठन, ने एक पूर्ण सदस्य के रूप में फिलिस्तीन को शामिल करने के लिए मतदान किया।

• यह इजरायल के लिए एक कूटनीतिक झटका है, जो अंतरराष्ट्रीय निकाय में शामिल होने के लिए फिलिस्तीन का विरोध कर रहा था।
• बीजिंग में 26-29 सितंबर को 86वीं इंटरपोल महासभा के दौरान एक गुप्त मतदान में 24 सदस्यों ने फिलिस्तीन के खिलाफ और 75 देशों ने इसके पक्ष में मतदान किया जबकि लगभग 34 देश मतदान में अनुपस्थित रहे।

• 1 9 23 में स्थापित, इंटरपोल, विश्व के सबसे बडा अंतरसरकारी संगठन है जो सदस्य देशों के बीच अंतर्राष्ट्रीय पुलिस सहयोग को सुगम बनाता है।

10. विश्व रेबीज दिवस: 28 सितंबर

रेबीज की रोकथाम के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए विश्व रेबीज़ दिवस हर वर्ष 28 सितम्बर को मनाया जाता है।

• 2017 विश्व रेबीज़ दिवस की थीम 'रेबीज: जीरो बाई 30' है।क़9
• यह दिन फ्रेंच रसायनज्ञ और सूक्ष्मजीवविज्ञानी लुई पाश्चर के श्रदांजली दिवस का भी प्रतीक है, जिन्होंने पहली रेबीज वैक्सीन विकसित की थी।

11. हिमाचल प्रदेश: देश की पहली इलेक्ट्रिक बस सेवा शुरू की

हिमाचल प्रदेश में ग्रीन परिवहन को प्रोत्साहन देने के लिये परिवहन मंत्री जी एस बाली ने मनाली के पास एक पर्यटन स्थल, रोहतांग दर्रे के लिए देश की पहली इलेक्ट्रिक बस सेवा को रवाना किया।

• एचआरटीसी, जो इलेक्ट्रिक बस सेवा को संचालित करेगा, कुल्लू में 10 वाहन उपलब्ध कराएगा और बाद में इस सुविधा को अन्य क्षेत्रों तक बढ़ाया जाएगा।
• मंत्री ने कुल्लू में 30 करोड़ रुपये के आधुनिक बस स्टैंड की भी नींव रखी।

12. भारत अगले महीने किशोर स्वास्थ्य पर विश्व कांग्रेस की मेजबानी करेगा

भारत, जहां लगभग 253 मिलियन किशोर रहते हैं, अगले महीने किशोर स्वास्थ्य पर विश्व कांग्रेस की मेजबानी करेगा।

• प्रत्येक चार वर्षों में एक बार आयोजित, किशोर स्वास्थ्य के लिए इंटरनेशनल एसोसिएशन की 11वीं विश्व कांग्रेस 27-29 अक्टूबर को नई दिल्ली में आयोजित की जायेगी।
• इस साल का विषय ‘Investing in Adolescent Health-The Future is Now’ है।

13. प्रधान मंत्री ने वाराणसी में विभिन्न परियोजनाएं शुरू की

प्रधान मंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने वाराणसी में दीनदयाल हस्तकला संकुल - हस्तशिल्प के लिए एक व्यापार सुविधा केंद्र देश को समर्पित किया।

• प्रधान मंत्री ने नवंबर 2014 में इस केंद्र का आधारशिला रखी थी।
• नरेन्द्र मोदी ने एक वीडियो लिंक के माध्यम से महामना एक्सप्रेस को हरी झंडी दिखाई। यह ट्रेन गुजरात में सूरत और वडोदरा के साथ वाराणसी से जुड़ जाएगी।
• प्रधान मंत्री ने एक वीडियो लिंक के माध्यम से वाराणसी के लोगों को एक जल आश्रम सेवा और एक जल शव वाहन सेवा समर्पित की।
• उन्होंने बुनकरों और उनके बच्चों को उपकरण-किट और सौर लैंप वितरित किए।

14. ‘परियोजना यश विद्या’ के जरिये सैनिकों का सशक्तिकरण

लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल अश्विनी कुमार और प्रो. ई.वायुनंदन, कुलपति, यशवंतराव चव्हाण महाराष्ट्र मुक्त विश्वविद्यालय (वाईसीएमओयू), नासिक ने नई दिल्‍ली में 21 सितम्‍बर, 2017 को एक सहमति पत्र (एमओयू) पर हस्‍ताक्षर किये।

• सैन्‍य कर्मियों के लिए तैयार किये गये स्‍नातक डिग्री कार्यक्रम के तहत सेवाकालीन प्रशिक्षण/पूर्ण सैन्‍य पाठ्यक्रमों को विशेष मान्‍यता दी जाती है तथा कुछ विशेष पाठ्यक्रमों के अध्‍ययन से छूट दी जाती है।
• विश्‍वविद्यालय ‘परियोजना यश विद्या’ के तहत स्‍व-सशक्तिकरण में डिप्‍लोमा और  कला अथवा वाणिज्‍य में स्‍नातक डिग्री प्रदान करेगा, जिससे कि उन्‍हें बेहतर भविष्‍य के लिए आवश्‍यक शैक्षणिक योग्‍यता हासिल हो सके।

15. ‘पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्‍याय विज्ञान ग्राम संकुल परियोजना’

विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी, पृथ्‍वी विज्ञान और पर्यावरण, वन एवं जलवायु परिवर्तन मंत्री डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने ‘पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय विज्ञान ग्राम संकुल परियोजना’ का शुभारंभ किया, जिसके तहत उत्‍तराखंड में क्‍लस्‍टर अवधारणा के जरिये सतत विकास के लिए उपयुक्‍त विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी संबंधी कदमों पर अमल करने का प्रयास किया जाएगा।

• मंत्री महोदय ने एक संवाददाता सम्‍मेलन को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि यह परियोजना पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्‍याय की सीख एवं आदर्शों से प्रेरित है, जिनकी जन्‍म  शताब्‍दी इस साल मनाई जा रही है।

16. नीति आयोग और सरकार असम ने SATH कार्यक्रम की शुरूआत की

स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्याण विभाग, असम सरकार और नीति आयोग ने गुवाहाटी में एक राज्य सलाह कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया।

• इसमें असम के सरकार और नीति आयोग की संयुक्त पहल में SATH-सस्टेनेबल एक्शन फॉर ट्रांसफॉर्मिंग ह्यूमन कैपिटल नामक कार्यक्रम शुरू किया गया, जिसका लक्ष्य असम की मुख्य स्वास्थ्य प्राथमिकताओं की पहचान करने और स्वास्थ्य को बदलने के लिए समाधान को लागू करने के लिए असम को समर्थन प्रदान करना है।
• नीति आयोग ने रुचि की अभिव्यक्ति, राज्यों के प्रस्तुतीकरण और स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्र में सुधार के प्रति प्रतिबद्धता का मूल्यांकन जैसे तीन चरणों में प्रक्रिया के माध्यम से असम, उत्तर प्रदेश और कर्नाटक का चयन किया है।

17. मल्टी-एजेंसी अभ्यास 'प्रलय सहायम' आयोजित

हैदराबाद में प्रलय सहायम के अंतिम आयोजन के रूप में हुसैन सागर झील के तट पर एक बहु-अभ्यास का आयोजन किया गया था।

• इस इवेंट ने हैदराबाद में शहरी बाढ़ परिदृश्य से निपटने के लिए सभी केंद्रीय और राज्य एजेंसियों, राष्ट्रीय आपदा राहत दल (एनडीआरएफ) और सशस्त्र बलों के प्रयासों का प्रदर्शन किया।
• संयुक्त अभियान के संचालन समन्वय में राज्य आपातकालीन संचालन की भूमिका और कार्य को भी अभ्यास में बताया गया।

18. प्रधान गांधीनगर में पहली एलपीजी पंचायत की मेजबानी करेंगे

केंद्रीय पेट्रोलियम और प्राकृतिक गैस मंत्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान केंद्र के एक महत्वाकांक्षी कार्यक्रम -एलपीजी पंचायत का उद्घाटन करेंगे, जिसका उद्देश्य ग्रामीण समुदायों को स्वच्छ ईंधन के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना है।

• केंद्र देश भर में एक लाख एलपीजी पंचायतों को आयोजित करने की योजना बना रहा है, जहां एलपीजी की जागरुकता और उपयोगों पर ईंधन कंपनियों के अधिकारियों और ग्रामीणों के बीच चर्चा होगी।
• पहली एलपीजी पंचायत गांधीनगर में आयोजित की जाएगी, जहां प्रधान प्रधान मंत्री उज्ज्वला योजना (पीएमयूवाई) और अन्य कंपनियों के तहत एलपीजी का उपयोग कर रही महिलाओं के बीच चर्चा होगी।

19. प्रधानमंत्री मोदी सभी के लिये 24x7 बिजली योजना शुरू करेंगे

ऊर्जा मंत्री आर के सिंह ने कहा कि प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी 25 सितंबर को सभी के लिये 24X7 बिजली प्रदान करने की एक योजना की घोषणा करेंगे।

• 25 सितंबर, आरएसएस के विचारक पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय की जयंती भी है।
• यद्यपि सिंह ने इस योजना के बारे में और जानकारी नहीं दी, लेकिन इस वर्ष दिसंबर के अंत तक सभी गांवों के अपेक्षित विद्युतीकरण के बाद सभी ग्रामीण परिवारों को कवर करने का आह्वान किया गया है।
• सरकारी सूत्रों के मुताबिक, इस योजना का नाम 'सोभाग्य' रखा जाएगा और ट्रांसफार्मर, मीटर और तारों जैसे उपकरणों पर सब्सिडी मुहैया कराई जाएगी।

20. ब्रह्मपुत्र नदी का विश्लेषण करने के लिए सरकार की 'लैब ऑन बोट' की योजना

जैव प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग की एक नई परियोजना का उद्देश्य नदी प्रणाली के जैविक विश्लेषण के लिए ब्रम्हापुत्र नदी पर नाव प्रयोगशाला शुरू करना है।

• महत्वाकांक्षी परियोजना में नदी और इसकी सहायक नदियों पर कई मोबाइल प्रयोगशालाएं भी शामिल हैं, साथ ही स्थानीय अनुसंधान संस्थानों तक पहुंच प्रदान करने का भी प्रस्ताव है।
• ब्रह्मपुत्र बायोडाइवर्सिटी बायोलॉजी बोट  (बी 4) के तहत पहली प्रयोगशाला असम में पासीघाट, डिब्रूगढ़, नीमती, तेजपुर और गुवाहाटी को कवर करेगी।

स्मरणीय बिंदु

• लगभग 3,800 किलोमीटर लंबी नदी, दुनिया में सबसे लंबी नदियों में से एक, बंगाल की खाड़ी में गिरने से पहले तीन देशों चीन, भारत और बांग्लादेश से गुजरती है।
• इसका उद्भव अंग्सी ग्लेशियर से होता है।
• यह दक्षिण पश्चिम में असम घाटी में ब्रह्मपुत्र और दक्षिण में बांग्लादेश में जमुना के रूप में बहती है। विशाल गंगा डेल्टा में, यह बांग्लादेश में गंगा नदी के लोकप्रिय नाम पद्मा और अंत में मेघना में विलीन हो जाती है और यहां से इसे बंगाल की खाड़ी में गिरने तक इसे मेघना के नाम से जाना जाता है।

21. शहरों में कचरे के समुचित प्रबंधन के लिए ‘नेबरहुड एक्शन प्लान’ का शुभारम्भ

लोगों के अपने निकटस्थ पड़ोसियों के साथ सहज जुड़ाव को देखते हुए आवास एवं शहरी गरीबी उन्मूलन मंत्री श्री हरदीप सिंह पुरी ने ‘घर भी साफ और पड़ोसी भी साफ अभियान का प्रारंभ किया। इस अभियान के छह मुख्य कारक हैं:

• कचरा निष्कासन की जगह ही उनके स्वरूप के हिसाब से अलग करना।
• उसी आहाता/पड़ोस/ इलाके में गीले कचरे से कम्पोस्ट बनाना।
• सूखे कचरे की रिसाइकलिंग (पुनर्चक्रण) करना।
• पड़ोस को खुले में मल-मूत्र त्याग से मुक्त रखना।
• पड़ोसियों को खुले में कूड़ा-कर्कट न फेंकने के लिए प्रेरित करना।
• कचरा जमा करने या उसके पृथक्कीकरण के लिए रिहाइश के पास के पार्क या खुली जगह का जिम्मा लेना।

22. सरकार ने घरेलू विद्युतीकरण के लिए सौभाग्य योजना की शुरूआत की

गरीब परिवारों को बिजली की आपूर्ति के लिए प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने सहज बिजली हर घर योजना या 'सौभाग्य' का शुभारंभ किया है। यह योजना दिसंबर के अंत तक सभी गांवों के विद्युतीकरण के बाद इस वर्ष सभी ग्रामीण परिवारों को कवर करेगी।

• सरकार ने कहा कि राज्यों को 31 मार्च 2019 तक घरेलू विद्युतीकरण पूरा करने की आवश्यकता होगी।
• सौभाग्य योजना के लिए कुल परिव्यय 16,320 करोड़ रुपये होगा। ग्रामीण परिवारों के लिए 14,025 करोड़ रुपये का खर्च है जबकि जीबीएस 10,587.50 करोड़ रुपये है। शहरी परिवारों के लिए व्यय 2,295 करोड़ रूपये है जबकि जीबीएस 1,732.50 करोड़ रूपये है।
• यह योजना सरकार से 60 प्रतिशत अनुदान द्वारा वित्त पोषित होगी, जबकि राज्यों का 10 प्रतिशत योगदान है और शेष राशि ऋण द्वारा कवर की जाएगी।
• विशेष श्रेणी के राज्यों के लिए, सरकार 85% खर्च का भुगतान करेगी, साथ ही राज्य सिर्फ 5 प्रतिशत का योगदान करेंगे।
• इस योजना के लिए सकल बजटीय सहायता 12,320 करोड़ रुपये होगी।
• एपीएल परिवारों को 500 रुपये में विद्युत कनेक्शन दिया जाएगा, जो 10 समान मासिक किश्तों में देय होगा, जबकि बीपीएल परिवारों को मुफ्त कनेक्शन मिलेंगे।

23. प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने आर्थिक सलाहकार परिषद गठित की

सत्ता में आने के तीन साल बाद, प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने एक आर्थिक सलाहकार परिषद (ईएसी) का गठन किया है, जो विकास की धीमी गति को तेज करने का सरकार के प्रयास है।

• पांच सदस्यीय ईएसी के अध्यक्ष नीति आयोग के सदस्य बिबक देबराय होंगे और इसके सदस्य के रूप में नीति आयोग के प्रधान सलाहकार रतन वाटल होंगे और सुरजीत भल्ला, रथिन रॉय और आशिमा गोयल पार्ट टाईम सदस्य होंगे।

24. राजनाथ सिंह बाल श्रम पर राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन में पेंसिल पोर्टल का शुभारंभ करेंगे

"पेंसिल": श्रम और रोजगार मंत्रालय द्वारा विकसित बाल श्रमिक निषेधता के प्रभावी क्रियान्वयन के लिए एक इलेक्ट्रॉनिक प्लेटफार्म है जिसे 26 सितंबर, 2017 को गृह मंत्री श्री राजनाथ सिंह द्वारा प्रवासी भारतीय केंद्र, चाणक्य पुरी, नई दिल्ली में बाल श्रम पर नेशनल कॉन्फ़्रेंस में शुरू किया जा रहा है।

• नोबेल पुरस्कार विजेता श्री कैलाश सत्यार्थी इस समारोह में मुख्य अतिथि होंगे जबकि श्रम और रोजगार मंत्री श्री संतोष कुमार गंगवार सम्मेलन के दौरान अध्यक्ष होंगे।

25. हरियाणा में 'श्वेत क्रांति' को बढ़ावा देगा इज़राइल

इजरायल हरियाणा में श्वेत रिवॉल्यूशन' को बढ़ावा देने की तैयारी में है।

• दुग्ध उत्पादन में एक प्रमुख राज्य हरियाणा अब औसत दूध उत्पादन बढ़ाने के लिए, दुनिया में दूध उत्पादन में अग्रणी इज़रायल की तकनीकों और अनुभवों से लाभान्वित होगा।
• इसराइल में दुधारू पशुओं का औसत दूध 32 किलो प्रति दिन है और यह दूध उत्पादन में दुनिया में अग्रणी है।

26. मनोज सिन्हा भारत के पहले मोबाइल कांग्रेस 2017 का उद्धाटन करेंगे

संचार मंत्री श्री मनोज सिन्हा ने भारत में डीओटी की पहली मोबाइल, इंटरनेट और प्रौद्योगिकी कार्यक्रम - इंडिया मोबाइल कांग्रेस 2017 की घोषणा की। इसका आयोजन 27 सितंबर से लेकर 29 सितंबर,  2017 तक नई दिल्ली के प्रगति मैदान में हो रहा है।

• नोडल मंत्रालय के रूप में दूरसंचार विभाग के तत्वाधान में इंडिया मोबाइल कांग्रेस का आयोजन सेल्यूलर ऑपरेटर्स एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडिया (सीओएआई) द्वारा किया जा रहा है। इस दौरान मोबाइल और दूरसंचार ऑपरेटर के उद्योग संघ और इंटरनेट कंपनियां प्रदर्शनियां आयोजित करेंगी तथा वैश्विक और भारतीय दूरसंचार,मोबाइल, इंटरनेट- कनेक्टिविटी और डिजिटल सेवा क्षेत्र के महत्व के बारे में चर्चा करेंगी।
• देश के सबसे बड़े और सर्वप्रथम आयोजन को इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय, कौशल विकास और उद्यमिता मंत्रालय जैसे कई अन्य मंत्रालयों का सहयोग प्राप्त है। इसके अलावा केंद्र के साथ-साथ विभिन्न राज्यों के वरिष्ठ प्रतिनिधि भी इसमें भाग लेंगे। यह सार्वजनिक-निजी सहयोग का एक सटीक उदाहरण है, जहां सरकार और उद्योग एक मंच पर साथ होंगे।

27. "इलेक्ट्रॉनिक नैगोसिएबल वेयरहाउस रसीद (ई-एनडब्ल्यूआर) सिस्टम" लॉन्च

केंद्रीय उपभोक्ता मामले, खाद्य और सार्वजनिक वितरण मंत्री राम विलास पासवान ने नई दिल्ली में वेयरहाउसिंग डेवलपमेंट एंड विनियामक प्राधिकरण (डब्ल्यूडीआरए) के वेब पोर्टल और "इलेक्ट्रॉनिक नैगोसिएबल वेयरहाउस रसीद (ई-एनडब्ल्यूआर) सिस्टम" की शुरुआत की।

• श्री पासवान ने बताया कि ई-एनडब्ल्यूआर में किसी भी तरह के बदलाव, विकृति, नुकसान या क्षति की कोई संभावना नहीं होगी और एक से अधिक वित्तपोषण की कोई संभावना नहीं होगी।
• इसलिए, एनडब्ल्यूआर केवल बैंकों और अन्य वित्तीय संस्थानों द्वारा आसान प्रतिज्ञा वित्तपोषण की सुविधा ही नहीं देगा बल्कि विभिन्न व्यापारिक केंद्रों जैसे वस्तु बाजारों, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक राष्ट्रीय कृषि बाजार (ई-एनएएम) और अन्य इलेक्ट्रॉनिक प्लेटफार्मों पर भी सुस्पष्ट व्यापार की सुविधा देगा।

28. कांडला पोर्ट का नाम बदलकर दीन दयाल पोर्ट हुआ

जहाजरानी मंत्रालय ने कांडला पोर्ट ट्रस्ट का नाम बदलकर (25 सितंबर, 2017 से लागू) दीन दयाल पोर्ट ट्रस्ट करने से संबंधित आदेश जारी किया है।

• कच्छ के रण में स्थित कांडला पोर्ट ट्रस्ट देश के 12 सबसे बड़े बंदरगाहों में से एक है।
• मंत्रालय के आदेशानुसार, केंद्रीय सरकार ने भारतीय पोर्ट अधिनियम, 1908 के अंतर्गत प्राप्त शक्तियों के आधार पर कांडला का नाम संशोधित कर दीन दयाल किया है।

29. थावरचंद गहलोत ने ‘’दिव्यांग सारथी’’ एप का शुभारंभ किया

सामाजिक न्‍याय और आधिकारिता मंत्री श्री थावरचंद गहलोत ने ‘’दिव्‍यांग सारथी’’  मोबाइल एप के बीटा संस्‍करण का उद्घाटन किया। इसके माध्‍यम से दिव्‍यांगजनों को आसानी से जानकारी जानकारी मिल सकेगी।

• इस मोबाइल एप्लीकेशन का उद्देश्य, सामाजिक न्याय और आधिकारिता मंत्रालय के दिव्यांगजन सशक्तिकरण विभाग से संबंधित विभिन्न उपयोगी जानकारियों जैसे विभि‍न्न नियमों, दिशा-निर्देशों, योजनाओं, रोजगार संबंधी अवसरों के बारे में दिव्यांगजनों को सरल प्रारूप में जानकारी उपलब्ध कराना है।
• इस एप्लीकेशन को दिव्यांगजन सशक्तिकरण विभाग के दो सहायक सचिवों (श्री अनुनय झा और श्रीमती बी सुशीला) द्वारा तैयार गया है।

30. मंत्रिमंडल ने पुलिस बलों के आधुनिकीकरण के लिए अम्‍ब्रेला योजना को मंजूरी दी

प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्‍द्र मेादी की अध्‍यक्षता में केन्‍द्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने ‘पुलिस बलों के आधुनिकीकरण की वृहद अम्‍ब्रेला योजना’ को वर्ष 2017-18 से वर्ष 2019-20 के लिए अपनी मंजूरी प्रदान कर दी है।

• तीन वर्ष की अवधि में इसके लिए 25060 करोड़ रुपये व्‍यय करने का प्रावधान है, जिसमें से 18636 करोड़ रुपये केन्‍द्रीय सरकार तथा 6424 करोड़ रुपये राज्‍यों का अंश है।
• इस योजना के तहत आतंरिक सुरक्षा, कानून-व्‍यवस्‍था, महिला सुरक्षा, आधुनिक हथियारों की उपलब्‍धता, पुलिस बलों की गतिशीलता, लॉजिस्टिक सपोर्ट, किराए पर हेलिकॉप्‍टर, पुलिस वायरलेस का उन्‍नयन, राष्‍ट्रीय सेटेलाइट नेटवर्क, सीसीटीएनएस परियोजना आदि  शामिल हैं।
• इस अम्‍ब्रेला योजना में जम्‍मू एवं कश्‍मीर, पूर्वोत्‍तर राज्‍यों एवं वामपंथी उग्रवाद से प्रभावित क्षेत्रों के लिए आतंरिक सुरक्षा संबंधी व्‍यय के लिए 10132 करोड़ रुपये के केन्‍द्रीय अंश का प्रावधान भी सम्मिलित है।
• वामपंथी उग्रवाद से सर्वाधिक प्रभावित 35 जिलों को 3000 करोड़ रुपये की विशेष केन्‍द्रीय सहायता (एससीए) का प्रावधान किया गया है। इससे वामपंथी उग्रवाद से प्रभावित राज्‍यों द्वारा सुरक्षा तथा विकास गतिविधियों के क्षेत्र में किए जा रहे प्रयासों से वृद्धि होगी।
• पूर्वोत्‍तर राज्‍यों में पुलिस इंफ्रास्‍टक्‍चर अपग्रेडिंग, ट्रेनिंग इंस्‍टीट्यूट इनवेस्‍टीगेशन फेसेलेटीज़ के लिए 100 करोड़ रुपये का प्रावधान किया गया है।

31. आईबीबीआई ने एनईएसएल को सूचना उपक्रम के रूप में पंजीकृत किया

भारतीय दिवाला एवं दिवालियापन बोर्ड (आईबीबीआई) में नेशनल ई-गर्वनेंस सर्विसेज लिमिटेड (एनईएसएल) को आईबीबीआई (सूचना उपक्रम) नियम, 2017 के तहत एक सूचना उपक्रम (आईयू) के रूप में पंजीकृत किया।

• यह पंजीकरण की तिथि से लेकर अगले पांच वर्षों तक वैध है।
• सूचना उपक्रम (आईयू) उन वित्‍तीय सूचनाओं का संचयन करता है जिनसे डिफॉल्‍ट (चूक) को सही साबित करने और दावों का सत्‍यापन तेजी से करने में मदद मिलती है और इस तरह दिवाला एवं दिवालियापन संहिता, 2016 के तहत संबंधित समझौते या लेन देन को समयबद्ध ढंग से पूरा करने में आसानी होती है।
• यह दिवाला एवं दिवालियापन परितंत्र का एक मुख्‍य स्‍तंभ है। इसके तीन अन्‍य स्‍तंभ निर्णायक प्राधिकरण (राष्‍ट्रीय कंपनी कानून ट्रिब्‍यूनल और ऋण वसूली ट्रिब्‍यूनल), आईबीबीआई और दिवाला प्रोफेशनल है।
• एनइएसएल पहला सूचना उपक्रम है जिसका पंजीकरण आईबीबीआई द्वारा किया गया है। पंजीकरण के लिए प्राप्‍त सूचनाओं के मुताबिक इसके निदेशक मंडल का उल्‍लेख नीचे किया गया है।  

32. गोद लेने की सुविधा के लिए CARA ने मासिक "जन संपर्क" कार्यक्रम लॉन्च किया

महिला और बाल विकास मंत्रालय के केन्द्रीय दत्तक संसाधन प्राधिकरण (सीएआरए) ने एक मासिक “जन संपर्क” कार्यक्रम शुरू किया है ताकि जनता दत्तक ग्रहण से संबंधित सूचनाओं के साथ-साथ चिंताओं को चिह्नित करने के लिए अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों के साथ बातचीत कर सके।

• इस तरह का पहला कार्यक्रम नई दिल्ली में आयोजित किया गया। लगभग 150 संभाव्य दत्तक माता-पिता (पीएपी), दत्तक अभिभावक और एजेंसियों के प्रतिनिधियों ने सत्र में भाग लिया, जो चार घंटे से अधिक समय तक चला।
• सीईओ सीएआरए द्वारा तिमाही फेसबुक लाइव चैट के अलावा यह इवेंट अब हर महीने एक नियमित रूप से आयोजित होगा।

33. राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविन्द ने 'अडॉप्ट ए हेरिटेज' परियोजना की शुरूआत की

राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद ने विश्व पर्यटन दिवस पर 'अडॉप्ट ए हेरिटेज' पहल की शुरुआत की, जिसके अंतर्गत विरासत स्थलों को रखरखाव के लिए सार्वजनिक और निजी उद्यमों और व्यक्तियों को सौंपा जाएगा।

• 'इनक्रेडिबल इंडिया 2.0 कैम्पेन' के साथ शुरू की गई पहल- “डिजिटल उपस्थिति और सोशल मीडिया पर अधिक ध्यान देने” के साथ भारतीय पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने का एक प्रयास है।
• 'अडॉप्ट ए हेरिटेज' परियोजना के तहत, साइटों को पर्यटन सुविधाओं के विकास के लिए गोद लेने वाले लोगों को 'स्मारक मित्र' के नाम से जाना जाएगा।

34. भारत अंतर्राष्ट्रीय विज्ञान महोत्सव 2017

विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय, पृथ्वी विज्ञान मंत्रालय, और विज्ञान भारती (VIBHA) हर साल भारत अंतर्राष्ट्रीय विज्ञान महोत्सव (आईआईएसएफ) को आयोजित करते हैं ताकि जनता के बीच वैज्ञानिक स्वभाव को प्रोत्साहित किया जा सके और विज्ञान व तकनीक के क्षेत्र में भारतीय योगदान को प्रदर्शित किया जा सके।

• नई दिल्ली में आयोजित आईआईएसएफ के पिछले दो संस्करण काफी सफल रहे है।
• IISF 2017 का तीसरा संस्करण चेन्नई में 13-16 अक्टूबर, 2017 के दौरान विभिन्न स्थानों पर आयोजित किया जाएगा।
• प्रौद्योगिकियों और नवाचार की भूमिका पर बल देते हुए, भारत ने 2010-20 को 'नवाचार के दशक' के रूप में घोषित किया है।

35. 14वां भारत-यूरोपीय संघ शिखर सम्मेलन 6 अक्टूबर को नई दिल्ली में

भारत 6 अक्टूबर को नई दिल्ली में 14वें भारत-यूरोपीय संघ (ईयू) शिखर सम्मेलन की मेजबानी करेगा, जिसमें दोनों पक्ष आतंकवाद से मुकाबला करने और आर्थिक सहयोग को तेज करने के अपने संकल्प की घोषणा करेंगे।

• शिखर सम्मेलन में यूरोपीय परिषद के अध्यक्ष डोनाल्ड फ्रांसिसजक टस्क और यूरोपीय आयोग के अध्यक्ष जीन क्लाउड जंकर शामिल होंगे।
• 13वां भारत-यूरोपीय संघ शिखर सम्मेलन ब्रुसेल्स में 30 मार्च, 2016 को आयोजित किया गया था।

36. SBI ने लंदन में शुरू किया इंडियन बॉण्ड इंडेक्स

देश के सबसे बड़े वाणिज्यिक बैंक भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (एसबीआई) ने एफटीएसई 100 के साथ मिलकर लंदन शेयर बाजार में सूचकांक की एक नयी सीरीज की शुरुआत की है। यह कदम निवेशकों और बाजार भागीदारों को भारतीय बांड गतिविधियों से अवगत कराने के लिए उठाया गया है।

• बांड इंडेक्स सीरिज पेश करने के लिए लंदन स्टॉक एक्सचेंज के साथ भागीदारी की गई है। यह सूचकांक भारतीय बांड बाजार में निवेश को इच्छुक विदेशी निवेशकों के लिए भारतीय ऋणपत्र के मुख्य बेंचमार्क का काम करेगा।

37. पश्चिम बंगाल को एडीबी से 300 मिलियन डॉलर का ऋण

बहुपक्षीय वित्तपोषण एजेंसी एडीबी ने ने कहा है कि इसने पश्चिम बंगाल में वित्तीय सुधारों को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए 300 मिलियन अमरीकी डालर की ऋण सुविधा को मंजूरी दी है।

• एशियाई विकास बैंक (एडीबी) के बोर्ड ने पश्चिम बंगाल में अधिक सुलभ, सस्ती, और उच्च गुणवत्ता वाली सार्वजनिक सेवाएं लाने हेतु राजकोषीय सुधारों की व्यापक श्रृंखला जारी रखने के लिए 300 मिलियन अमरीकी डालर के ऋण को मंजूरी दे दी है।
• 2012 में पहली बार पश्चिम बंगाल को एडीबी से 400 मिलियन अमेरीकी डालर प्राप्त हुए थे।

38. नाबार्ड ने हरियाणा के लिए 119 करोड़ रुपये का ऋण मंजूर किया

राष्ट्रीय कृषि और ग्रामीण विकास बैंक (नाबार्ड) ने हरियाणा के पांच जिलों में सात पुलों के निर्माण और एक ग्रामीण सड़क परियोजना में सुधार के लिए 119 करोड़ रुपये का ऋण मंजूर किया है।

• ग्रामीण पुलों और सड़क परियोजना के तहत, 28.25 करोड़ रुपये के आरआईडीएफ (ग्रामीण बुनियादी ढांचा विकास निधि) ऋण से जुड़े हरियाणा के अंबाला, पंचकुला, सोनीपत, यमुनानगर और पानीपत जिलों में सात पुलों और एक सड़क का निर्माण किया जाएगा।
• इसके अलावा, सभी जिलों में 167 सरकारी पशु चिकित्सा अस्पतालों और डिस्पेंसरी और रेवाड़ी जिले में पेयजल आपूर्ति परियोजना के निर्माण के लिए ऋण स्वीकृत किया गया है।

39. एसबीआई दक्षिण पूर्व एशियाई देशों के बैंकरों को प्रशिक्षण देगा

भारतीय स्टेट बैंक भारत और अन्य दक्षिण पूर्व एशियाई देशों के बैंक कर्मचारियों के लिए अपना नया बैंकिंग कर्मचारी प्रशिक्षण संस्थान खोलने की योजना बना रहा है।

• संस्थान मध्य प्रबंधन-स्तर और इसके बाद के संस्करण में जोखिम प्रबंधन, बैंकिंग विनियमन और प्रौद्योगिकी पर जोर देने वाले लोगों को नेतृत्व प्रशिक्षण प्रदान करेगा।
• इसकी चेयरपर्सन अरुंधति भट्टाचार्य ने कहा कि फोकस क्रिया-आधारित और परिणाम-उन्मुख अनुसंधान और क्षमता निर्माण पर होगा।

40. SBI ने मिनिमम बैलेंस सीमा पुनर्निर्धारित की

देश के सबसे बड़े सरकारी बैंक भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (एसबीआई) ने अपने खाताधारकों को बड़ी राहत देते हुए मिनिमम बैलेंस सीमा को 20 से 50  फीसदी घटाया है।

• भारतीय स्टेट बैंक ने शहरी व मेट्रो केन्द्रों को एक श्रेणी में रखते हुए शहरी क्षेत्रों में मिनिमम बैलेंस सीमा को 5000 रुपये से घटाकर 3000 रुपये कर दिया है।

41. रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज़ दुनिया की तीसरी सबसे बड़ी ऊर्जा फर्म: प्लेट्स रैंकिंग

प्लैट्स की शीर्ष 250 ग्लोबल एनर्जी कंपनी रैंकिंग के मुताबिक रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज लिमिडेट दुनिया की तीसरी सबसे बड़ी ऊर्जा कंपनी बन गयी है। रिलायंस ने पिछले साल की तुलना में इस मामले में पांच स्थानों की छलांग लगायी है. उससे आगे रूस की गैस फर्म गेज़प्रॉम और जर्मनी की ई.ऑन है।

• ऑयल और नैचुरल गैस कॉर्पोरेशन (ओएनजीसी) को 2017 की सूची में 7वां स्थान मिला है जबकि 2016 में 14वें स्थान पर थी।
• रैकिंग में शामिल दूसरी कंपनियों में भारत पेट्रोलियम कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (39वें स्थान पर), कोल इंडिया (45 वें स्थान पर) हिंदुस्तान पेट्रोलियम (48वें स्थान पर), पावर ग्रिड कॉर्प (81वें स्थान पर) और गेल इंडिया (106वें स्थान पर) हैं।

42. आईडीबीआई बैंक ने प्रदर्शन में सुधार के लिए ‘निश्चय' की शुरुआत की

सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के ऋणदाता आईडीबीआई बैंक ने 'बोस्टन कंसल्टिंग ग्रुप (बीसीजी) के साथ परामर्श में एक टर्नअराउंड योजना- ' प्रोजेक्ट निश्चय' शुरू की है ।

• इस परियोजना का उद्देश्य संघर्षशील ऋणदाता के टर्नअराउंड कार्यक्रम को गति देने और वित्तीय प्रदर्शन में सुधार करना है।
• इस परियोजना का नेतृत्व बीसीजी के साथ आईडीबीआई बैंक का वरिष्ठ प्रबंधन करेगा।
• बैंक रिज़र्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के तत्काल सुधारात्मक कार्रवाई ढांचे के तहत है जिसका अर्थ है कि बैंक को पूंजी का संरक्षण करना होगा और लाभ के पथ पर लौटने के तरीके ढूंढ़े जाएंगे।
• बैंक को नई शाखाएं खोलने या संभावित जोखिम भरी कंपनियों को उधार देने की अनुमति नहीं है।

43. फेसबुक, ऐप्पल व गूगल के साथ शीर्ष 10 सबसे मूल्यवान ब्रांडों में

टेक्नोलॉजी क्षेत्र वार्षिक इंटरब्रांड बेस्ट ग्लोबल ब्रांड्स रिपोर्ट पर हावी है, क्योंकि शीर्ष दस ब्रांडों में से आधे से अधिक प्रौद्योगिकी फर्म हैं।

44. नूयी, कोचर,शिखा फॉर्च्यून की सबसे शक्तिशाली महिलाओं पर व्यापार सूची में

दो भारतीय महिलाएं- चंदा कोचर और शिखा शर्मा फॉर्च्यून पत्रिका की ओर से संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका के बाहर व्यापार में सबसे शक्तिशाली महिलाओं की रैंकिंग में शामिल है जबकि इंद्रा नूई को यूएस संस्करण की सूची में शीर्ष तीन में शामिल किया गया है।

• अमेरिकी के बाहर व्यापार में सबसे शक्तिशाली महिलाओं की सूची में, जिसमें  बैंको सैंटेंडर ग्रुप की कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष एना बॉटिन सबसे ऊपर है, आईसीआईसीआई बैंक की कोचर को पांचवें स्थान पर, जबकि एक्सिस बैंक की शर्मा को 21वें स्थान पर रखा गया है।

45. एडीबी ने भारत की वित्तीय वर्ष 2018 की विकास दर घटाकर 7% की

एशियन डेवेलपमेंट बैंक (एडीबी) ने निजी खपत, विनिर्माण उत्पादन और कारोबारी निवेश में कमजोरी के कारण भारत के विकास का अनुमान घटाकर 7 प्रतिशत कर दिया है।

• एडीबी ने कहा कि हालांकि मुद्रास्फीति की दर चालू वर्ष में 4 फीसदी और 2018-19 में 4.6 फीसदी रहने की संभावना है, जो पूर्व के क्रमशः 5.2 फीसदी और 5.4 फीसदी के अनुमान से काफी कम है।

46. पीएनबी, इंडसइंड बैंक एआई को 3,000 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक ऋण प्रदान करेंगे

बैंकिंग की बड़ी कंपनियों पंजाब नेशनल बैंक और इंडसइंड बैंक ने राष्ट्रीय यात्री वाहक एयर इंडिया को सरकार की गारंटी पर 3,000 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक का “अल्पकालिक ऋण” (एसटीएल) देने की बोली जीत ली है।

• इससे पहले, एयर इंडिया ने 1 सितंबर तक प्रमुख ऋणदाताओं को वित्तीय बोलियों के लिए बुलाया था।
• सरकार द्वारा समर्थित ऋण से तेल कंपनियों और हवाई अड्डे के ऑपरेटरों जैसे विभिन्न विक्रेताओं की बकाया राशि का निपटान करने में एयरलाइन को मदद मिलेगी।

47. आईसीआईसीआई बैंक ने 'कैशबैक' होम लोन की शुरूआत की

समेकित परिसंपत्तियों के हिसाब से भारत के सबसे बड़े निजी क्षेत्र के ऋणदाता, आईसीआईसीआई बैंक ने एक नई होम लोन स्कीम की घोषणा की, जो ऋण की पूरी अवधि के लिए प्रत्येक ईएमआई पर 1% कैशबैक का लाभ प्रदान करती है।

• यह प्रस्ताव गृह ऋण के लिए 15 वर्ष की न्यूनतम अवधि और अधिकतम 30 साल की अवधि के साथ वैध होगा।
• ग्राहक अपने गृह ऋण के प्रमुख बकाया के खिलाफ कैशबैक को समायोजित करने का विकल्प चुन सकते हैं या वे इसे अपने बैंक खाते में प्रत्यक्ष ऋण के रूप में प्राप्त कर सकते हैं।

48. एडीबी भारत के वार्षिक ऋण को 4 बिलियन डॉलर तक बढ़ायेगा

एशियन डेवलपमेंट बैंक ने कहा है कि वह 2018 और 2022 के बीच भारत में अधिकतम वार्षिक ऋण को 4 बिलियन डॉलर तक बढ़ाकर उच्च मध्यम आय स्तर के लिए समेकित आर्थिक परिवर्तन को मजबूत करने में मदद करेगा।

• नया ऋण कार्यक्रम, जिसमें निजी क्षेत्र संचालन शामिल हैं, 2012 और 2016 के दौरान बढ़ाए गए औसतन $ 2.65 बिलियन ऋण से कहीं अधिक है।

49. एचडीएफसी बैंक का वित्तीय प्रोद्योगिकी विचारों के लिए शीर्ष शिक्षा संस्थानों के साथ करार

घरेलू बैंकिंग क्षेत्र में अपली तरह के प्रथम प्रयासों में, दूसरी सबसे बड़ी निजी क्षेत्र की ऋणदाता एचडीएफसी बैंक ने कहा कि वह उभरते हुए वित्तीय प्रोद्योगिकी विचारों के लिये 50 प्रौद्योगिकी और बिजनेस स्कूलों के साथ करार करेगा।

• इसने आईआईटी-बॉम्बे और आईआईटी-रुड़की के साथ उद्योग-शिक्षा साझेदारी टाई अप की घोषणा की।
• पहल के पहले चरण में, 50 ऐसी भागीदारी की परिकल्पना की गई है। बैंक अपने डोमेन विशेषज्ञता का उपयोग ग्राहक अनुभव पर स्टार्ट-अप को सलाह देने व बाजार और लागतों को कम करने के लिए करेगा।

50. पीएफसी तेलंगाना में 4 मेगावाट बिजली संयंत्र के लिए 4,000 करोड़ रुपये देगी

सरकारी स्वामित्व वाली पावर फाइनेंस कार्पोरेशन (पीएफसी) ने नालगोंडा जिले में 4,000 मेगावाट ताप विद्युत संयंत्र स्थापित करने के लिए तेलंगाना को 4,009 करोड़ रुपये की वित्तीय सहायता की है।

• पीएफसी ने तेलंगाना के नालगोंडा जिले में सुपर-क्रिटिकल टेक्नोलॉजी का इस्तेमाल करते हुए 5X800 मेगावाट, कोयला आधारित यदाद्री थर्मल पावर प्लांट की स्थापना के लिए टीएसजीईएनसीओ (तेलंगाना पावर जनरेशन कॉरपोरेशन लिमिटेड) को 4,009 करोड़ रुपये का एक टर्म लोन मंजूर किया है।
• यदाद्री थर्मल पावर प्लांट तेलंगाना की भविष्य की बिजली जरूरतों को पूरा करने के लिए लगभग 29,784 मिलियन यूनिट ऊर्जा पैदा करेगा।

51. ईईएसएल ने 10,000 इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन टाटा मोटर्स से खरीदेगी

भारत सरकार के विद्युत मंत्रालय के प्रशासन के अधीनस्‍थ एनर्जी एफिसिएंसी सर्विसेज लिमिटेड (ईईएसएल) 10,000 इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन टाटा मोटर्स लिमिटेड से खरीदेगी।

• इस कंपनी का चयन एक अंतर्राष्‍ट्रीय प्रतिस्‍पर्धी बोली के जरिये किया गया जिसका उद्देश्‍य भागीदारी में वृद्धि करना था।
• यह ठेका टाटा मोटर्स को मिला है और टाटा मोटर्स अब दो चरणों में इलेक्ट्रिक वाहनों (ईवी) की आपूर्ति करेगी। ईईएसएल को प्रथम 500 ई-कारों की आपूर्ति नवंबर 2017 में की जाएगी और शेष 9500 ईवी की आपूर्ति दूसरे चरण में की जाएगी।
• ईईएसएल द्वारा जारी की गई निविदा विश्‍व की सर्वाधिक एकल इलेक्ट्रिक वाहन खरीद को दर्शाती है।

52. एडीबी ने हिमाचल प्रदेश के लिये 80 मिलियन लोन को मंजूरी दी

बहुपक्षीय ऋण एजेंसी एडीबी ने हिमाचल प्रदेश की तकनीकी और व्यावसायिक शिक्षा और प्रशिक्षण (टीवीईटी) संस्थानों के आधुनिकीकरण के लिए $ 8 मिलियन (लगभग 524 करोड़) डॉलर के ऋण को मंजूरी दी है।

• परियोजना की कुल लागत $100 मिलियन है, जिसमें केंद्र सरकार 20 मिलियन डॉलर का योगदान करेगी।
• परियोजना के 2022 के अंत तक पूरा होने की उम्मीद है।

53. बलराज जोशी ने एनएचपीसी लिमिटेड के सीएमडी का पदभार संभाला

सरकारी स्वामित्व वाली एनएचपीसी ने कहा कि बलराज जोशी ने इसके अध्यक्ष और प्रबंध निदेशक के रूप में पदभार ग्रहण किया है।

पूर्व गृह सचिव राजीव महर्षि नियंत्रक और महालेखा परीक्षक (सीएजी) के रूप में शशिकांत शर्मा के स्थान पर पद संभालेंगे।

• 62 वर्षीय महर्षि को राष्ट्रपति भवन में राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद पद और गोपनीय शपथ दिलायेंगे।

55. अरविंद सुब्रमण्यम के सीईए के रूप में कार्यकाल को एक वर्ष के लिए विस्तार

वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली ने कहा कि सरकार अक्टूबर 2018 तक मुख्य आर्थिक सलाहकार अरविंद सुब्रमण्यम का कार्यकाल एक साल के लिये विस्तारित करेगी।

72. असमिया फिल्म, थियेटर व्यक्तित्व अब्दुल मजीद का निधन

वयोवृद्ध असमिया फिल्म और थियेटर व्यक्तित्व अब्दुल माजिद का दीर्घ बीमारी के बाद निधन हो गया है।

• 1931 में जोरहट में पैदा हुए, माजिद ने 1957 में रोंगा पुलिस नाम से अपनी पहली फिल्म बनाई और उसके बाद राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार विजेता चमेली मेमसाब बनाई, जिसके लिए भूपेन हजारिका ने सर्वश्रेष्ठ संगीतकार का पुरस्कार भी जीता।

73 अभिनेता टॉम ऑल्टर का 67 साल की आयु में निधन

वयोवृद्ध थिएटर और फिल्म व्यक्तित्व टॉम अल्टर का त्वचा कैंसर के खिलाफ अपनी जंग हारकर निधन हो गया। वह 67 साल के थे।

• टॉम अल्टर मुंबई के अस्पताल में चार त्वचा कैंसर की चौथी स्टेज से जूझ रहे थे, जहां उन्हें सितंबर के शुरु में भर्ती कराया गया था।
• भारत एक खोज, जूनून, जबान संभाल के और बेताल पच्चीसी जैसे टीवी शो में अभिनय के लिए पहचाने जाने वाले टॉम अल्टर एक अमेरिकी मूल के अभिनेता थे, जो भारत में बसे थे।
• 2008 में, उन्हें भारत के चौथे उच्चतम नागरिक सम्मान पद्म श्री के साथ सम्मानित किया गया था।

कप्तान विक्रम बत्रा की जीवनी " द शेरशाह ऑफ कारगिल" 21 वर्षीय दीपक सुराणा ने लिखी है।

• During this session,  50 countries signed a treaty to ban nuclear weapons, which was first signed by Brazil.
• The countries that have signed the treaty would not develop, test, produce, manufacture, acquire, possess or stock nuclear weapons under any circumstances.

6. India ranks 40th in Global Competitiveness Index

India ranks 40th among 137 countries in World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Index (GCI) 2017-18 although it is one position lower than last year.

• Switzerland continues to be the world’s top competitive economy, while China (27th) and Russia (38th) outshine India among the BRICS group.

8. India jumps to 14th rank as best country for expats: HSBC

India leapt up the global rankings by 12 places to take the 14th spot in terms of best country for expats to live and work in, says a HSBC survey.

• The list, which is topped by Singapore, is part of HSBC's latest 'expat explorer survey' that covered 27,587 expats from 159 countries and territories in March and April this year.
• According to survey, about 71 per cent expats in India reported high levels of confidence in the local economy, while 58 per cent exuded optimism on political stability.

9. Palestine joins Interpol as full member

Interpol, the international police organization, has voted to admit Palestine as a full member, thereby advancing the latter's goal of statehood.

• This development is a diplomatic blow to Israel, which has been opposing Palestine moves to join international bodies.
• About 75 countries voted in favor, with 24 voting against and 34 abstaining in a secret vote held during 86th Interpol General Assembly on Sept. 26-29 in Beijing.

10. World Rabies Day: 28 September

World Rabies Day is celebrated annually on September 28 to raise awareness about rabies prevention.

• This day also marks the anniversary of Louis Pasteur’s death, the French chemist, and microbiologist, who developed the first rabies vaccine.

11. Himachal Pradesh: Country’s first electric bus service launched

In a boost for green transport in Himachal Pradesh, Transport Minister G S Bali flagged off the country’s first electric bus service for Rohtang Pass, a tourist destination near Manali.

• HRTC, which will run the electric bus service, will make 10 vehicles available in Kullu and later the facility would be extended to other areas.
• The minister also laid the foundation stone for a Rs 30-crore modern bus stand at Kullu.

12. India to host World Congress on Adolescent Health next month

Home to around 253 million adolescents, India will next month host the World Congress on Adolescent Health, billed as the biggest global event in adolescent health this year.

• Held once in every four years, the International Association for Adolescent Health’s 11th World Congress on Adolescent Health be held in New Delhi from October 27-29.
• This year’s theme is ‘Investing in Adolescent Health-The Future is Now’. 

13. PM launches various projects in Varanasi

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, dedicated to the nation, the Deendayal Hastkala Sankul – a trade facilitation centre for handicrafts – at Varanasi.

• The Prime Minister had laid the foundation stone of this Centre in November 2014.
• Shri Narendra Modi flagged off the Mahamana Express through a video link. This train will connect Varanasi with Surat and Vadodara in Gujarat.
• The Prime Minister dedicated a Jal Ambulance service, and a Jal Shav Vahan service to the people of Varanasi, through a video link.
• He distributed tool-kits and solar lamps to weavers and their children.

14. Empowering the Soldier by Project Yash Vidya

A MoU was signed by Lt Gen Ashwani Kumar and Prof. E Vayunandan, Vice Chancellor, Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU), Nasik on 21 Sep 2017 at New Delhi.

• The Bachelor’s degree Programme designed for the Army Personnel gives special recognition to the in-service training/Army courses completed and by providing exemption from studying certain courses.
• The University will award Diploma in Self Empowerment and a Bachelors Degree in Arts or Commerce under PROJECT YASH VIDYA enabling them with academic qualifications for better future.

15. Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay Vigyan Gram Sankul Pariyojana

The Minister of Science & Technology, Earth Sciences and Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Dr. Harshvardhan launched “Pt Deen Dayal Upadhayay Vigyan Gram Sankul Pariyojana” which will experiment and endeavour to formulate and implement appropriate S&T Interventions for Sustainable Development through cluster approach in Uttarakhand.

• Addressing the press, the Minister said that this project has been inspired by teachings and ideals of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay whose birth centenary is being celebrated this year.

16. NITI Aayog and Govt. of Assam launches SATH programme

The Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Assam and NITI Aayog organized a state consultative workshop in Guwahati.

• The consultation marked the launch of program called SATH- Sustainable Action for Transforming Human Capital, a joint initiative of Government of Assam and NITI Aayog, which aims to provide structured support to Assam in identifying key health priorities and implement the solutions towards transforming the health and improving the well-being of people of Assam.
• NITI Aayog selected the three states Assam, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka through a three stage challenge-process – expression of interest, presentations by the states and assessment of commitment to health sector reforms.

17. Multi-Agency Exercise ‘Pralay Sahayam’ Held

A multi-agency exercise was conducted on the banks of Hussain Sagar Lake as the final event of ‘Pralay Sahayam’ in Hyderabad.

• The event demonstrated efforts of all central and state agencies, National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) and the Armed Forces towards jointly tackling an urban flooding scenario in Hyderabad.
• The exercise brought out the role and function of the State Emergency Operations in coordinating conduct of the joint operations.

18. Pradhan to host first LPG Panchayat in Gandhinagar

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate one of the ambitious programmes of the Centre — LPG Panchayat, aimed at encouraging rural communities to turn to clean fuel.

• The Centre plans to organise one lakh LPG Panchayats across the country, where discussions will take place between officials of fuel companies and villagers on awareness and uses of the LPG.
• The first LPG Panchayat will be held in Gandhinagar, where Pradhan will preside over the interaction between women using LPG under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana (PMUY) and the companies.

19. PM Modi to launch 24x7 electricity-for-all scheme

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will announce a scheme for providing 24X7 electricity to all on September 25, Power Minister R K Singh said.

• September 25 is also the birth anniversary of RSS ideologue Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya.
• Though Singh did not divulge further details about the scheme, it is touted to cover all rural families after expected electrification of all villages by December end this year.
• According to government sources, the scheme will be named 'Saubhagya' and provide subsidy on equipment like transformers, meters, and wires.

20. Govt plans ‘lab on boat’ for analysing Brahmaputra river

A new project of the Department of Biotechnology aims at starting a lab on boat on Bramhaputra river for biological analysis of the river system.

• The ambitious project also proposes to have multiple mobile laboratories on the river and its tributaries along with providing access to local research institutions.
• The first laboratory under the Bramhaputra Biodiversity Biology Boat (B4) initiative will cover Pasighat, Dibrugarh, Neemati, Tejpur and Guwahati in Assam.

• The nearly 3,800 kms long river, one of the longest in the world, traverses three countries China, India and Bangladesh to empty itself in the Bay of Bengal.
• Its origin is in the Angsi glacier.
• It flows southwest through the Assam Valley as Brahmaputra and south through Bangladesh as the Jamuna (not to be mistaken with Yamuna of India). In the vast Ganges Delta, it merges with the Padma, the popular name of the river Ganges in Bangladesh, and finally the Meghna and from here it is known as Meghna before emptying into the Bay of Bengal.

21. Neighborhood Action Plan in cities for better Solid Waste Management

Noting that people have a better connect with immediate neighborhood, Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs Shri Hardeep Singh Puri unveiled ‘My Home-My Neighborhood’ (Ghar Bi Saaf-Pados Bhi Saaf) campaign with the following six components:

• Segregation of waste at source.
• Compost making from wet waste within the premises/neighborhood/area.
• Recycling of dry waste.
• Freeing the neighborhood from open defecation and open urination.
• Motivating the residents of neighborhood against throwing garbage in open spaces.
• Adopting a nearby park or open place for collection and waste segregation.

22. Government launches Saubhagya scheme for household electrification

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana or ‘Saubhagya’, to supply electricity to poor households. The scheme will cover all rural families after electrification of all villages by December end, this year.

• The government said that states will be required to complete the household electrification by March 31, 2019.
• The total outlay for the Saubhagya scheme will be Rs 16,320 crore. The outlay for the rural households is Rs 14,025 crore while the GBS is Rs 10,587.50 crore. For the urban households the outlay is Rs 2,295 crore while GBS is Rs 1,732.50 crore.
• The scheme will be funded by a 60 per cent grant from the government, with the states contributing 10 per cent and the remaining amount will be covered by loans.
• For special category states, the government will grant 85 per cent of the outlay, with the states contributing just 5 per cent.
• The gross budgetary support for the scheme will be Rs 12,320 crore.
• Electricity connections will be given to APL families for Rs 500, payable in 10 equal monthly installments, while BPL families will be given free connections.

23. PM Narendra Modi forms Economic Advisory Council

 

Over three years after coming to power, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has formed an Economic Advisory Council (EAC) amid the government's endeavour to give a push to the growth which has witnessed a slowdown.

• The five-member EAC will be headed by NITI Aayog member Bibek Debroy and will include NITI Aayog's Principal Advisor Ratan Watal as its member and economists Surjit Bhalla, Rathin Roy and Ashima Goyal as part-time members.

24. Rajnath Singh to launch PENCIL Portal at the National Conference on Child Labour

“PENCIL”: an electronic platform for effective enforcement for no child labour developed by Ministry of Labour and Employment is going to be launched by Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh on 26th September 2017 in the National Conference on Child Labour at Pravasi Bhartiya Kendra, Chanakya Puri, New Delhi.

• Nobel Laureate Shri Kailash Satyarthi will be the guest of honour while the Labour and Employment Minister, Shri Santosh Kumar Gangwar will precide over the conference.

25. Israel to boost 'White Revolution' in Haryana

The 'White Revolution' in Haryana is set to get an Israeli boost.

• A leading state in milk production, Haryana would now benefit from the techniques and experience of Israel, leader in milk production in the world, for increasing the average milk production.
• The average milk production of milch animals in Israel is 32 kg per day and it leads the world in milk production.

26. Manoj Sinha to launch the first ever India Mobile Congress 2017

The Minister of Communication Shri Manoj Sinha announced DoT’s first ever Mobile, Internet and Technology event in India - India Mobile Congress 2017, which is beginning from 27th September till 29th September 2017 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

• Led by Department of Telecom as the nodal ministry, the India Mobile Congress is being organised by Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), the industry association of mobile and telecom operators and internet companies will be a congregation to display, discuss, unveil, imbibe, educate and recognise the importance of the global and Indian telecommunications, mobile, internet, connectivity and digital services sector to the world.
• The largest and first ever event also has the support of the other ministries like the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Skill Development and Entrepreneurship amongst others and will see participation from senior government representatives from the centres as well as various states.

27. Paswan launches “Electronic Negotiable Warehouse Receipt (e-NWR) System”

Ram Vilas Paswan, Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution launched the Web Portal of Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA) & “Electronic Negotiable Warehouse Receipt (e-NWR) System” in New Delhi.

• Shri Paswan informed that the e-NWRs would have no chances of any tempering, mutilation, fudging, loss or damage and with no possibility of any multiple financing.
• Hence, these NWRs will not only facilitate an easy pledge financing by banks and other financial institutions but also smooth trading on various trading centres like commodity exchanges, electronic National Agriculture Markets (e-NAM) and other electronic platforms.

28. Kandla Port renamed as Deendayal Port

The Ministry of Shipping has issued a notification renaming Kandla Port Trust as Deendayal Port Trust with effect from 25th of September, 2017.

• Kandla Port, located on the Gulf of Kutch in Gujarat, is one of the twelve major ports in the country.
• As per the Ministry’s notification, the Central Government, in exercise of powers conferred on it under Indian Ports Act, 1908, made the amendment to replace “Kandla” with “Deendayal”.

29. Thaawarchand Gehlot launches ‘Divyang Sarathi’

Thaawarchand Gehlot, Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment launched the Beta version of ‘Divyang Sarathi’—The accessible and comprehensive mobile application for easy dissemination of information to ‘Divyangjans.

• This mobile application aims at providing all relevant information pertaining to the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, including its various acts, rules, regulations and guidelines, schemes, information about the various outreach institutions, employment opportunities, and the disability market in an accessible format.
• This application has been developed by the two Assistant Secretaries (Shri Anunaya Jha and Smt. B. Susheela) in the DEPwD.

30. Cabinet approves umbrella scheme of Modernisation of Police Forces

The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has given its approval for implementation of umbrella scheme of “Modernisation of Police Forces (MPF)” for years 2017-18 to 2019-20. 

• The financial outlay for the scheme over the three year’s period is Rs. 25,060 crore, out of which the Central Government share will be Rs.18,636 crore and the States’ share will be Rs.6,424 crore.   
• Special provision has been made under the Scheme for internal security, law and order, women security, availability of modern weapons, mobility of police forces, logistics support, hiring of helicopters, upgradation of police wireless, National Satellite Network, CCTNS project, E-prison project etc.
• Under the umbrella scheme, central budget outlay of Rs. 10,132 crore has been earmarked for internal security related expenditure for Jammu & Kashmir, North Eastern States and left wing extremism affected States.
• Scheme of Special Central Assistance (SCA) for 35 worst LWE affected districts has been introduced with an outlay of Rs. 3,000 crore to tackle the issue of underdevelopment in these district. 
• An outlay of Rs.100 crore has been earmarked in the North Eastern States for police infrastructure upgradation, training institutes, investigation facilities etc.

31. IBBI registered National E-Governance Services Limited as Information Utility

  

The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI) registered National E-Governance Services Limited (NeSL) as an Information Utility (IU) under the IBBI (Information Utilities) Regulations, 2017.

• This registration is valid for five years from the date of registration.
• IU stores financial information that helps to establish defaults as well as verify claims expeditiously and thereby facilitates completion of transactions under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 in a time bound manner.
• It constitutes a key pillar of the insolvency and bankruptcy ecosystem, the other three being the Adjudicating Authority (National Company Law Tribunal and Debt Recovery Tribunal), the IBBI and Insolvency Professionals.

32. CARA launches monthly “Jan Sampark” Program to facilitate adoption

The Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) of the Ministry of Women & Child Development has started a monthly “Jan Sampark” program to enable the public to have interaction with its officials and staff for seeking information related to Adoption as well as flagging their concerns.

• The first of its kind programme was held in New Delhi. Nearly 150 Prospective Adoptive Parents (PAPs), Adoptive Parents and representatives of agencies participated in the session, which lasted for more than four hours.
• The event will now be a regular feature every month apart from the quarterly Facebook live chat by CEO CARA.

33. President Ram Nath Kovind launches ‘Adopt a Heritage’ project

President Ram Nath Kovind launched the ‘Adopt a Heritage’ initiative on World Tourism Day, under which heritage sites will be entrusted to public and private enterprises and individuals for maintenance.

• The initiative — launched along with ‘Incredible India 2.0 Campaign’ — is an attempt to boost Indian tourism with “greater focus on digital presence and social media”.
• Under the ‘Adopt a Heritage’ Project, those entrusted with the development of tourist amenities at the adopted sites would be known as ‘Monument Mitras’.

The Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Earth Sciences, and Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) have come together to organize The India International Science Festival (IISF) every year, since 2015 to encourage scientific temper among the masses and showcasing Indian contribution in the field of S&T over the years.

• The previous two editions of IISF held at New Delhi have been a great success.
• The 3rd edition of IISF 2017 will be held in Chennai during 13-16 October, 2017 at various venues.

35. 14th India-EU Summit to be held in New Delhi on 6 October 

  

India will host the 14th India-European Union (EU) Summit in New Delhi on 6 October that will see the two sides declaring their resolve to combat terrorism and intensifying economic cooperation.

• The summit will be attended by European Council President Donald Franciszek Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker.
• The 13th India-EU Summit was held in Brussels on March 30, 2016.

36. SBI launches Indian bond index series in London

State Bank of India (SBI) has launched the FTSE SBI Bond Index series in partnership with global index provider FTSE 100, which it is hoped will give tools to investors from India, the UK and globally to analyse India’s government bond market, and drive growth in this market.

This index, launched in collaboration with the London Stock Exchange, will ensure that international investors have an international benchmark.

37. West Bengal gets $300 million ADB loan to carry forward fiscal reforms

Multilateral funding agency ADB said it has sanctioned a USD 300 million loan facility for carrying forward fiscal reforms in West Bengal.

• The board of Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved a loan of USD 300 million to continue a comprehensive series of fiscal reforms in West Bengal to bring about more accessible, affordable, and high quality public services.
• West Bengal, for the first time in 2012 had received a USD 400 million from ADB.

38. Nabard sanctions Rs 119 cr loan for Haryana

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has sanctioned a loan of about Rs 119 crore to construct seven bridges and improvement of one rural road project in five districts of Haryana.

• Under rural bridges and road project, construction of seven bridges and one road would be undertaken in Ambala, Panchkula, Sonepat, Yamunanagar and Panipat districts of Haryana involving RIDF (Rural Infrastructure Development Fund) loan of Rs 28.25 crore.
• Besides, the loan has been sanctioned for construction of 167 government veterinary hospitals and dispensaries in all districts and one drinking water supply project in Rewari district.

39. SBI to teach bankers from South East Asian countries

State Bank of India is planning to throw open its new banking personnel training institute for employees of other banks in India and other South East Asian countries.

• The institute will impart leadership training to people in the mid-management level and above with thrust on risk mitigation, banking regulation and technology.
• The focus will be on action-based and result-oriented research and capacity building, Chairperson Arundhati Bhattacharya said.

40. SBI revises service charges on maintaining monthly average balance

 

The country’s largest lender State Bank of India has brought down service charges on not maintaining monthly average (MAB) balance by a whopping 20-50%.

• The bank has also decided to treat the metro and urban centres in the same category and the requirement of monthly average balance in metro centres stands reduced to Rs 3000 from Rs 5000 earlier.

41. Reliance Industries world's third largest energy firm: Platts rankings

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) has jumped five places to rank as the world’s third-biggest energy company behind Russian gas firm Gazrpom and German utility E.ON, according to Platts Top 250 Global Energy Company Rankings.

• State-owned Indian Oil Corp (IOC) broke into the top 10 club, climbing to 7th position in the 2017 ranking, up from 14th rank in 2016.
• The other Indian firms in the ranking included Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (39), Coal India Ltd (45),Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (48), Power Grid Corp (81) and GAIL India Ltd (106).

42. IDBI Bank initiates 'Project Nishchay' to improve financial performance

Public sector lender IDBI Bank has initiated a turnaround plan - 'Project Nishchay' in consultation with The Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

• The project aims to accelerate the struggling lender's turnaround programme and improve financial performance.
• The project will be led by senior management at IDBI Bank along with BCG.
• The bank is under the Reserve Bank of India's prompt corrective action framework which means that the bank has to conserve capital and find ways to return to profitability.
• The bank is also not allowed to open new branches or lend to potentially risky companies.

43. Facebook joins Apple, Google in top 10 most valuable brands list

The technology sector dominated the annual Interbrand Best Global Brands Report, released on Monday with half of the top ten brands being technology firms.

• Apple topped the list while Google sealed second spot in the 18th edition of global rankings.
• Another tech major Microsoft knocked off beverage brand Coca-Cola to grab the third spot in the list.
• It is for the first time social media giant Facebook made it to the top 10 brands list.

44. Nooyi, Kochhar, Shikha on Fortune’s most powerful women in business list

Two Indians — Chanda Kochhar and Shikha Sharma — have made it to the rankings of most powerful women in business outside the United States drawn up by the Fortune magazine while Indra Nooyi featured in the top three on the US edition list.

• The Most Powerful Women in Business Outside the US list, which was topped by Banco Santander group executive chairman Ana Botin, placed ICICI Bank’s Kochhar at the fifth spot while Axis Bank’s Sharma has been ranked 21st.
• PepsiCo chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi came in at No. 2 on the US Most Powerful Women in Business list, led by General Motors chairman and CEO Mary Barra.

45. ADB trims India's FY18 growth forecast to 7%

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) lowered India's growth forecast to 7 per cent owing to weakness in private consumption, manufacturing output and business investment.

• ADB said that inflation, however, is expected to average 4 per cent in the current year and 4.6 per cent in 2018-19, significantly lower than the previous estimates of 5.2 per cent and 5.4 per cent, respectively.

46. PNB, IndusInd Bank to provide AI with over Rs 3,000 cr loans

    

Banking majors Punjab National Bank and IndusInd Bank have won the bid to provide national passenger carrier Air India with over Rs 3,000 crore government guarantee backed "Short Term Loans" (STLs).

• Earlier, Air India had called for financial bids from leading lenders by September 19.
• The government-backed laons are expected to help the airline in settling dues of various vendors like oil companies and airport operators.

47. ICICI Bank launches ‘cashback’ home loans

India’s largest private sector lender by consolidated assets, ICICI Bank announced a new home loan scheme that offers borrowers the benefit of 1% cashback on every EMI, for the entire tenure of the loan.

• The offer will be valid for home loans with a minimum tenure of 15 years and maximum tenure of 30 years.
• Customers can choose to adjust the cashback against principal outstanding of their home loan or they can get it as direct credit in their bank account.

48. ADB to increase annual lending to India to $4 billion

The Asian Development Bank said it will increase its annual lending to India to a maximum of $4 billion between 2018 and 2022 to help fasten inclusive economic transformation towards upper middle income status.

• The new lending programme, which includes private sector operations, is much higher than the average $2.65 billion a year in loans extended during 2012 and 2016.

49. HDFC Bank partners top education institutes for fintech ideas

In a first of its kind efforts in the domestic banking sector, second largest private sector lender HDFC Bank said it will be partnering with 50 technology and business schools to tap into emerging fintech ideas.

• It announced a tie-up with IIT-Bombay and IIT-Roorkee as part of the industry-academia partnership effort.
• In the first phase of the initiative, 50 such partnerships are envisaged. The bank will use its domain expertise to mentor start-ups on customer experience, reduce time to market and costs.

50. PFC to provide Rs 4,000 crore for 4 GW power plant in Telangana

  

State-run Power Finance Corp (PFC) has committed financial assistance of Rs 4,009 crore to Telangana for setting up a 4,000 MW thermal power plant in Nalgonda district.

• PFC has sanctioned a term loan of Rs 4,009 crore to TSGENCO (Telangana Power Generation Corporation Ltd) for setting up 5X800 MW, coal based Yadadri Thermal Power Plant using super-critical technology in Nalgonda district of Telangana.
• The Yadadri Thermal Power Plant will generate approximately 29,784 million units of energy to meet the future power requirement of Telangana.

51. EESL to procure 10,000 Electric Vehicles from TATA Motors

Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), under the administration of Ministry of Power, Government of India (GoI), will procure 10,000 electric vehicles from Tata Motors Limited.

• The company was selected through an international competitive bidding aimed at increased participation.
• Tata Motors won the tender and will now supply the Electric Vehicles (EVs) in two phases – first 500 e-cars will be supplied to EESL in November 2017 and the rest 9,500 EVs will be delivered in the second phase. 
• The tender floated by EESL is the world’s largest single electric vehicle procurement.

52. ADB approves $80 million loan to Himachal Pradesh

Multilateral lending agency ADB has approved a loan of $80 million (about Rs 524 crore) for modernisation of Himachal Pradesh’s technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions.

• The total cost of the project is $100 million, with the Centre contributing $20 million.
• The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.

53. Balraj Joshi takes charge of NHPC Ltd as CMD

State-owned NHPC said Balraj Joshi has taken over as its Chairman and Managing Director.

• Prior to his elevation as Chairman and Managing Director, Joshi was Director (Technical) of the state-owned firm. 
• During his career of over 35 years, he looked after various projects of the hydro major including Salal, Dul Hasti and Kurichu.

54. Rajiv Mehrishi to take over as next CAG

  

Former home secretary Rajiv Mehrishi will take over as the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) tomorrow succeeding Shashi Kant Sharma.

• Mehrishi, 62, would be administered the oath of office and secrecy by President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan tomorrow.
• His appointment has been cleared by the government.
• Mehrishi, a 1978 batch (retired) Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Rajasthan cadre, completed his two-year fixed term as the home secretary last month.

55. Arvind Subramanian to get extension as CEA for one year: FM Arun Jaitley

  

The government will extend the term of Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian by one year till October 2018, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said.

• Subramanian, a Senior Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, was appointed India's Chief Economic Adviser (CEA) in October 2014.
• His term was for three years, which was to end on October 16.

The German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, has been elected for a fourth term.

• Ms. Merkel’s party, Christian Democrats, polled the largest percentage of votes with 32.9 per cent.
• Ms. Merkel, who has been in office for 12 years, has reacted to her victory saying she had hoped for a better result.

58. Mohammad Mustafa is SIDBI's new CMD

The Centre has appointed Mohammad Mustafa, a 1995 batch IAS officer, as Chairman and Managing Director of Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI).

• Prior to this appointment, Mustafa was Joint Secretary in the Department of Financial Services (DFS) in the Finance Ministry.
• The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved his appointment for a period of three years.

59. Mridul Kumar appointed High Commissioner of India to Malaysia

Shri Mridul Kumar, (IFS: 1992), has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to Malaysia.

• He is presently Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs He is expected to take up the assignment shortly.

Noted Odia poet and short story writer Banaj Devi will be honoured with the 38th edition of prestigious Sarala award for her short story compilation "Kathapua".

65. Srinagar and Raipur Airports awarded as Best Airports

The Airports Authority of India’s Srinagar International Airport, Jammu & Kashmir and Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur, Chhattisgarh have been jointly conferred with the prestigious National Tourism Awards 2015-16.

66. Swiss professor to get 2017 SASTRA Ramanujan Prize

Maryna Viazovska of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne, Switzerland has been selected for the 2017 SASTRA Ramanujan Prize.

• The prize will be awarded during December 21-22, 2017 at the International Conference on Number Theory at SASTRA University in Kumbakonam, Ramanujan’s hometown.

• The SASTRA Ramanujan Prize was established in 2005 and is awarded annually for outstanding contributions by young mathematicians to areas influenced by the genius Srinivasa Ramanujan.
• The age limit for the prize has been set at 32 because Ramanujan achieved so much in his brief life of 32 years.

67. MC Mary Kom to be AIBA representative at IOC athletes’ forum

Five-time world champion and Olympic bronze-medallist M C Mary Kom has become the first Indian to be picked as the International Boxing Association’s (AIBA) representative for the IOC Athletes’ Forum scheduled in November.

• The 33-year-old, who is also an active parliamentarian, has been invited to attend the 8th International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) Athletes’ Forum in Lausanne from November 11 to 13.
• Among the most decorated athletes in Indian sports, Mary Kom is an Asian Games gold-medallist besides being a multiple-time Asian champion.
• She was conferred the AIBA Legends award at the annual gala of the world body last year.

68. Sasi Kumar Mukund wins title in ITF Futures

Top-seed Sasi Kumar Mukund of India won his second straight Futures title, beating compatriot Arjun Khade 6-3, 6-4 in the singles final of the LMW ITF Men's Futures tennis tournament.

• The 20-year-old Mukund, ranked 501 in the ATP list currently, quelled the challenge of the big-serving Khade, who had done well in the two previous Futures events in Chennai.

69. East Bengal hold Mohun Bagan to win 39th CFL title

East Bengal clinched their eighth successive title, and a record 39 times overall, in the Calcutta Football League after holding arch-rivals Mohun Bagan 2-2.

• Both teams finished the league with 23 points each from nine games, but East Bengal clinched the tournament with better goal difference (+21 against +15).

70. National Open Athletics to begin in Chennai

The country's top track and field athletes will be seen in action in the four-day 57th National Open Athletics Championships 2017, beginning at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai on 25 September.

• Around 1200 athletes from various states and departments/public sector undertakings would be taking part in the meet.
• The focus would be on Govindan Lakshmanan, who recently won a gold in Asian Indoor Games in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan and javelin thrower Davinder Singh Kang, who qualified for the final round at the World Championships in London recently.

71. India to host South Asian boxing Ch’ship in Guwahati

India will be hosting the South Asian boxing Championship for the first time in Guwahati from December 6 to 10.

• Boxing Federation of India, BFI, after its executive committee meeting said, the country will also host the ‘India International Open tournament’ in New Delhi in the third week of January.
• Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will participate in the Championship with other SAARC countries.
• The India international tournament will also see countries like Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine among other top boxing nations participating.

72. Acclaimed Assamese film, theatre personality Abdul Majid dead

Veteran Assamese film and theatre personality Abdul Majid died following protracted illness.

• Born at Jorhat in 1931, Majid made his film debut with Ronga Police in 1957 and went on to make the National award winning Chameli Memsahab, for which Bhupen Hazarika also won the best music composer’s award.

73. Actor Tom Alter passes away at 67

  

Veteran theatre and film personality Tom Alter lost his battle against skin cancer and passes away. He was 67.

• Tom Alter was battling stage four skin cancer at a Mumbai hospital, where he was admitted earlier in September.
• Known for starring in television shows like Bharat Ek Khoj, Junoon, Zabaan Sambhalke and Betaal Pachisi, Tom Alter was an American-origin actor settled in India.
• In 2008, he was recognised with the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour of India.
