1. ग्वाटेमाला अपने दूतावास को यरूशलेम में स्थानांतरित करेगा

ग्वाटेमाला के राष्ट्रपति का कहना है कि यह सेंट्रल अमेरिकी देश इजरायल में अपने दूतावास को यरूशलेम में स्थानांतरित करेगा।

• ग्वाटेमाला उन नौ राष्ट्रों में से एक था, जिसने इस सप्ताह संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका के पक्ष में मतदान किया था जब यू.एन. जनरल असेंबली ने एक गैर-बंधन संकल्प को अपनाने के लिए राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प की इजरायल की राजधानी के रूप में यरूशलेम को मान्यता देने की निंदा की थी।

2. बेंगलुरु अपना खुद का लोगो प्राप्त करने वाला पहला शहर बना  

ब्रांड बेंगलुरु को अपना लोगो मिल गया है और इसकी टैगलाइन 'बेंगलूरु - बी यू'  से वैश्विक स्तर पर शहर की छवि बनाने की उम्मीद है।

• बेंगलुरु अपनी पहचान के लिये लोगो प्राप्त करने वाला पहला भारतीय शहर है।
• 1,350 प्रविष्टियों में से चुने गये लोगो का उद्देश्य बेंगलुरू की सर्वदेशीय संस्कृति को दर्शाना है, जो कि 480 साल के इतिहास और भविष्य के दृष्टिकोण से संबंधित है।

3. ओडिशा को निर्यात के लिए 'चैंपियन स्टेट' के रूप में मान्यता दी गई

सरकारी सूत्रों ने कहा कि केंद्र सरकार ने ओडिशा को 2016-17 के दौरान निर्यात में सर्वोच्च वृद्धि दर्ज करने के लिए 'चैंपियन स्टेट' के रूप में मान्यता दी है।

• वाणिज्य और उद्योग मंत्रालय की राज्यों के निर्यात प्रदर्शन समीक्षा बैठक के दौरान यह घोषणा की गई जिसमें एल एन गुप्ता, एमएसएमई अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव, ओडिशा ने भाग लिया था।
• राज्य से निर्यात 2015-16 में 19,082 करोड़ रुपये से बढ़कर 2016-17 में 40,872 करोड़ रुपये हो गया है।

4. मुंबई में भारत की पहली एसी लोकल ट्रेन झंडी दिखाकर रवाना

भारत की पहली वातानुकूलित लोकल ट्रेन ने मुंबई के दक्षिणी हिस्से में बोरिवली स्टेशन से चर्चगेट तक अपनी पहली यात्रा पूरी की है।

• कुर्ला और विरार के कार शेड में दो साल में 65 ट्रायल चलाए जाने के बाद 12 कोच ईएमयू का उद्घाटन किया गया।
• 4 अप्रैल, 2016 को लोकल को इंटीग्रल कोच फैक्ट्री, चेन्नई से मुंबई लाया गया था।
• यह सेवा 12 मौजूदा गैर-वातानुकूलित सेवाओं की जगह लेगी।

5. सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों का एनपीए 7.34 लाख करोड़ रुपये पहुंचा

रिजर्व बैंक के आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, चालू वित्त वर्ष की दूसरी तिमाही के अंत तक सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों (पीएसबी) के बुरे ऋण 7.34 लाख करोड़ रुपये के थे।

• हालांकि, दूसरी ओर, निजी क्षेत्र के बैंकों की गैर-निष्पादित परिसंपत्तियां (एनपीए) 30 सितंबर तक 1.03 लाख करोड़ रूपए ही थीं।
• सरकार ने कहा है कि प्रमुख कॉर्पोरेट घरानों और कंपनियों का बैंकों के घरेलू परिचालनों से कुल सकल एनपीए का लगभग 77 प्रतिशत हिस्सा है।
• प्रमुख सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों में, स्टेट बैंक ऑफ इंडिया (एसबीआई) में सबसे अधिक एनपीए 1.86 लाख करोड़ रुपये से अधिक है।

6. बेल्जियम ने सऊदी अरब में दुनिया की पहली महिला राजदूत नियुक्त की

खाड़ी देश के चौंकाने वाले महिला अधिकारों के रिकॉर्ड के बावजूद बेल्जियम सऊदी अरब में महिला राजदूत नियुक्त करने वाला पहला देश बन गया है।

• सऊदी अधिकारियों को एक 'स्पष्ट संकेत' में अगले साल से दूतावास का नेतृत्व करने के लिए डोमिनिक मिनेउर रियाद जायेगी।
• मिनेउर वर्तमान में संयुक्त अरब अमीरात में कार्यरत है।

7. बांग्लादेश ने सैफ अंडर -15 महिला चैम्पियनशिप जीती

बांग्लादेश ने भारत के खिलाफ एकमात्र गोल से जीत के साथ सैफ अंडर -15 महिला फुटबॉल चैम्पियनशिप के उद्घाटन संस्करण का खिताब जीता है।

• विंगर शमशुनहर का 41वें मिनट का गोल बीरश्रेष्ठ मुस्तफा कमाल स्टेडियम में फाइनल में निर्णायक साबित हुआ।
• लीग चरण के मैच में भी मेजबान ने इसी विपक्षी टीम को 3-0 से हराया था।

8. बंगाली फिल्म अभिनेता पार्थ मुखोपाध्याय का निधन

वरिष्ठ अभिनेता पार्थ मुखोपाध्याय, जिन्होंने कई बंगाली क्लासिक्स में अभिनय किया था, का एक अस्पताल में हृदयाघात से निधन हो गया। वह 70 वर्ष के थे।

• मुखोपाध्याय ने अतिथी, बालिका बधू, अमर पृथ्वी, बागबंदीर खेल, अग्निस्वर जैसी फिल्मों में कई भूमिकाओं को चित्रित किया था और उन्होंने 1970 और 1980 के दशक में एक चरित्र अभिनेता के रूप में अपनी पहचान बनाई थी।

1. Guatemala to move its embassy to Jerusalem

The president of Guatemala says the Central American country will move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

• Guatemala was one of nine nations that voted earlier this week with the United States when the U.N. General Assembly overwhelmingly adopted a non-binding resolution denouncing President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

2. Bengaluru becomes first city to get its own logo

Brand Bengaluru got its own logo and the tagline 'Bengaluru - Be U' (be you) is expected to build the city's image on the global stage.

• The city is the first Indian city to gets its own identity badge.
• Selected from 1,350 entries, the logo aims to signify Bengaluru's cosmopolitan culture, a sense of belonging, 480-year history and futuristic outlook.

3. Odisha recognised as 'Champion State' for exports

The Centre has recognised Odisha as a 'Champion State' for recording the highest growth in exports during 2016-17, official sources said.

• This was announced during a review meeting of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on the export performance of states and formulation of strategy attended by L N Gupta, MSME Additional Chief Secretary, Odisha.
• The exports from the state have increased from Rs 19,082 crore in 2015-16 to Rs 40,872 crore in 2016-17

4. India’s first AC local train flagged off in Mumbai

India’s first air-conditioned local ran its maiden journey from Borivali station to Churchgate in the southern part of Mumbai.

• The 12-coach EMU’s inaugural run comes after 65 trial runs over two years at Kurla and Virar car-sheds.
• The local was brought to Mumbai from the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai, on April 4, 2016. 
• The services will replace 12 existing non-air conditioned services.

5. Public sector banks' NPA hits Rs 7.34 lakh crore

  

Bad loans of Public sector banks (PSBs) stood at Rs 7.34 lakh crore by the end of second quarter this fiscal, a bulk of which came from corporate defaulters, according to Reserve Bank data.

• However, on the other hand private sector banks' non- performing assets (NPAs) were considerably low at Rs 1.03 lakh crore by September 30.
• The government said leading corporate houses and companies accounted for approximately 77 per cent of the total gross NPAs from domestic operations for the banks.
• Among the major public sector banks, State Bank of India (SBI) had the highest amount of NPAs at over Rs 1.86 lakh crore.

6. Belgium appoints world's first female ambassador to Saudi Arabia

Belgium has become the first country to appoint a female ambassador to Saudi Arabia in spite of the Gulf nation's shocking women's rights record.

• Dominique Mineur will move to Riyhad to head up the embassy from next year in a 'clear signal' to Saudi officials. 
• Mineur is currently based in the United Arab Emirates.

7. Bangladesh girls clinch SAFF U-15 Women's Championship

Bangladesh won the title of the inaugural edition of SAFF Under-15 Women's Football Championship with a solitary goal victory against India.

• Winger Shamsunnahar's 41st minute strike proved decisive in the final at the Birshreshtha Mostafa Kamal Stadium.
• The hosts beat the same opposition 3-0 in a league stage match.

8. Bengali film actor Partha Mukhopadhyay passes away

Veteran actor Partha Mukhopadhyay, who had acted in many Bengali classics, died of cardiac arrest at a hospital. He was 70.

• Mukhopadhyay had portrayed a number of roles in classics like Atithi, Balika Badhu, Amar Prithivi, Baghbandir Khela, Agniswar and had made his mark as a character actor in 1970s and 1980s.
